So, here we are presenting a list of top ten most spoken languages in the world. Here in this article we will discuss the count of population who speak that language, the region where that language mainly spoken and the percentage total of that language.

1. Mandarin
The first ranker language in the whole world is Mandarin. This language is mostly spoken in china, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore. Mandarin has more than 1000 million native speakers. This large no. of speakers made this language as the most spoken language in the world. If we talk about the percentage total then, in the whole world population, 14.1% people speak Mandarin.
The main reason behind the large native speakers of Mandarin is the area of that country where this language spoken widely for example, china, the third largest country of the world and also is the biggest populated country of the world.
2. Spanish
The second most probably spoken language in the world is Spanish. This language is mostly spoken in Hispanic America, United States, Spain and Equatorial Guinea. More than 410 million people speak Spanish as their native language and this total no. of Spanish native speakers covers a 5.85% of the world population. Now, we can say a large no. of people speak Spanish as compared to another languages.
3. English
The third most spoken language of the world is English. The countries in which this language is mostly spoken are Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United States, United Kingdom and South Africa. More than 360 million speakers speak English as their native language. And this total no. of speaker covers about 5.52% of the world population.
We all know that the English is an international language, hence used everywhere. But here we mentioned about only those countries which speaks English as their native language.
4. Hindi
The fourth most spoken language is Hindi (Hindustani Language). Hindi is mainly spoken in India. We here included all variety of Hindi languages which are mainly spoken in India for example Main Hindi, Haryanvi, Hindi-Urdu, Awadhi, Chhattisgarhi, Bagheli, Marwari, Magadhi, Bhojpuri, Kumauni, Pahari etc. more than 300 million speakers speaks Hindi as their native language. 5. Arabic
The fifth most spoken worldwide language is Arabic. This language is mostly spoken in North Africa and Western Asia. More than 290 million speakers speak Arabic as their native language. This total no. of Arabic speaker covers about 4.23% of the world population. The Arabic language is one the oldest language started in about 6th century AD.
6. Portuguese
The sixth most spoken worldwide language is Portuguese. The main regions where we find the native speakers of Portuguese are Angola, Mozambique, Portugal and Brazil. In these countries, we find a wide range of people whose native language is Portuguese. If we count them in no. then we find that the no. of native speakers is more than 220 million and this total no. covers 3.08% of the world population.
7. Bengali
The seventh most spoken worldwide language is Bengali. Bengali is also an Indian language mostly spoken in west Bengal, India. Not only in India, Bengali language is also spoken widely as the native language in Bangladesh. More than 210 million people speak Bengali as their native language, including Indian region and Bangladesh. This total count covers 3.05% of the total world population.
8. Russian
The eighth most spoken language in the world is Russian. Russian language is mostly spoken in Russia, Soviet Union, Mongolia and Israel. More than 155 million people are the native speakers of the Russian language which covers about 2.42% of the world population.
As we all know that the Russia is the largest country of the world, but Russian language is at eighth position in most spoken language, this is because Russia is not as populated as china do.
9. Japanese
The ninth most spoken worldwide language is Japanese language. This language is mostly spoken in japan. More than 130 million people speak Japanese language as their native language which covers almost 1.92% of the world population.
10. Punjabi
The tenth most spoken language in the world is Punjabi. Punjabi is another Indian language, basically spoken in India and Pakistan. Punjab in India and some part in Pakistan speak Punjabi as their native language. More than 100 million people are speaking Punjabi as their native language which covers around 1.44% of the world population.
