Clase Azul attained 15 years of operation recently and to celebrate this, the founder, Arturo Lomeli, came up with a new bottle idea. The new bottle worth $30,000 is studded with several metals and precious stones. The metals on the include 24-Karat gold and amber. For people that can’t spend so much on a bottle of tequila, there is the cheaper $1,700 bottle they could add to their shopping cart.
AsomBroso Reserva Del Porto ($2,800)
The inspiration for this bottle comes from the Portuguese wine known as Porto. The bottle somehow found its way to Mexico, the origin of tequilas. Now the AsomBroso Reserva Del Porto is stored in the finest barrels and can be bought from any of the top port wineries. You will need to occasionally taste the drink until you attain the desired complexity and smoothness. Of course, the content is not just the reason for its price, the bottle is quite luxurious too.
Barrique de Ponciano Porfidio ($2,200)
This is a unique brand of tequila as just 2,000 bottles are produced yearly. To get a bottle, you will have to spend in the region of that figure. The extra Anejo usually ages for a minimum of 10 years and is stored in very expensive woods such as French limousine, cherry wood, and acacia. Standing at 17-inches tall, the bottle is definitely luxury. It has hand-painted details and 21-Karat gold letters covering it. by the way, the content is worth every dime spent.
Dos Luna’s Grand Reserve ($2,500)
This brand made history as the first commercially produced tequila in the world and the Anejo is aged 10 years. The aging barrels are produced by hand in Spain using sherry oak casks. This tequila brand draws its name from the year believed to be the birth year of tequila itself. It is produced by Luis Yerenas an offshoot of the famous Cuervo property. To get a distinctive flavor the contents are distilled twice inside oak containers. The bottle shares its cost with its name, $1,800.
Clase Azul Extra Anejo (Ultra) ($1,700)
The Clase Azul Ultra-Extra Anejo is a unique brand that produces just a hundred bottles a year. The content is allowed to age for up to three years in sherry-oak casks that are charred. The bottle is an exquisite Talavera ceramic bottle. The bottle is decorated with 24-Karat gold, silver, and platinum and is designed in a decanter form. The complex content is mixed with vanilla, spice, and notes of honey.
Asombroso Del Porto Extra Anejo ($1,550)
The Asombroso Del Porto Extra Anejo is about one of the few tequilas in the world that is rested to age twice. The first time, it is rested for eleven years in oak barrels and these second time, in port barrels from Portugal. The bottle is made by hand from Italian glass and it bears similarity to a crystal decanter discovered by the founder of Asombroso in an eighteenth European castle. The tequila has notes of port and toffee and a bottle goes for $1,550.
Casa Cuervo 1,800 Coleccion Tequila Anejo ($1,441)
This extra Anejo brand of tequila has every edition come with a custom decanter. The decanter is fashioned by the hands of a distinguished artist. This fact alone makes the price at $1,441 worth every dime. The bottling is rare and the wine is produced only in the finest years of 1,800 manufacture. You can still get bottles from between 2011 and 2013 and they go for about $1,500.
Rey Sol Anejo ($400)
If you have a sweet tooth, you should definitely try this tequila. It has hints of sweet caramel and spicy vanilla and in no time could be your favorite. The brand is produced in Mexico and it is very successful and widely recognized worldwide. The bottle, which has a sun design, has received an award for its design, is perfect for keeps after the content is finished. A bottle of Rey Sol Anejo goes for $400.
Tres-Quatro-Cinco ($390)
This brand has been in existence for over four generations, produced by the Fonseca family that hails from Jalisco. Tres-Quatro-Cinco is a family secret, little wonder its unique taste. The brand is produced with the highest form of integrity to get a quality creamy texture that would serenade your palate. The mix of agave plants distilled in a traditional distillery is left to mature for 5 years. Which is why this tequila has a legendary reputation and costs $360.
Don Julio Real ($350)
This tequila brand is regarded as the daddy of the Don Julio clan and it has just that extra touch of smooth texture. It is a mix of agave plants, stunning vanilla, and tasty oak spices. It is definitely the real deal at $350. Did I forget to tell you that it can only be found where it is produced, Guadalajara?
Gran Patron Platinum ($250)
This is the last tequila brand on this list and it has definitely earned its place being the first silver tequila to be produced anywhere in the world. The Gran Patron Platinum is distilled thrice which led to the removal of the regular tequila color. The brand claims to be the smoothest sipping tequila ever produced and with a hint of citrus, you may as well agree to that claim. A bottle costs $250.

Most people will at least want a pretty and decorative bottle that they can keep, knowing that they partly purchased something like this for the memories and for the status involved. Some of the expensive bottles of tequila will not even deliver in that regard.
However, overall, these drinks will manage to communicate a lot right away. People might marvel at the fact that it is possible to spend more money on a drink than a house.
