The prices of the 10 most expensive tequilas might make some people gasp. A lot of people can’t even afford beverages like tequila today. The idea of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a single drink might be shocking to a lot of people. However, this is something that wealthy people will do just in order to show everyone else that they can.

One of the contenders for the single most expensive tequila beverage in the world is the Ultra-Premium Ley .925 Pasion Azteca. This drink costs a staggering 225,000 dollars a bottle, and some people might find the bottle unappealing visually. If most people combined the amount of money they spent on their first houses, their first cars, and their college degrees, they would still probably find that this single bottle of tequila is more expensive. People would clearly only buy something like this for the sake of conspicuous consumption.

Next to the Ultra-Premium Ley .925 Pasion Azteca, almost every other bottle of expensive tequila looks like it is completely reasonable when it comes to its price. The Gran Patrón Platinum only costs 250 dollars, which is a tiny fraction of the cost of the Ultra-Premium Ley .925 Pasion Azteca.

The AsomBroso Reserva Del Porto is much more expensive than that at 2,800 dollars, but that still sounds comparatively reasonable in a selection like this. It also comes in a bottle that a lot of people will find gorgeous and stylish. Despite being priced at 2,000 dollars, the Barrique de Ponciano Porfidio comes in a more generic bottle. People might say the same thing about the 1800 Coleccion, which costs 1,800 dollars.

The bottle for the Don Julio Real looks almost disturbing, since it almost looks like it has two metallic hands on it, and it costs 350 dollars. Some people might think that the bottle for the Rey Sol Anejo looks like a perfume bottle, and it is priced at 400 dollars. The Clase Azul Extra Anejo (Ultra) at least has the advantage of having a bottle that is very unusual and that has an almost Gothic feel to it, which is something that a lot of people will like. They might not want to buy the Clase Azul Extra Anejo (Ultra) for 1,700 dollars, but they might still like the bottle.

Many of the other expensive bottles of tequila will fall into this general price range of 200 to 2,000 dollars. The Tres-Quatro-Cinco costs 390 dollars. The Casa Herradua Seleccion Suprema costs 360 dollars. Next to the bottles of tequila that cost thousands of dollars, spending hundreds of dollars on a bottle of tequila might actually sound like a minor indulgence. Most people will at least want a pretty and decorative bottle that they can keep, knowing that they partly purchased something like this for the memories and for the status involved. Some of the expensive bottles of tequila will not even deliver in that regard.

However, overall, these drinks will manage to communicate a lot right away. People might marvel at the fact that it is possible to spend more money on a drink than a house.
