10 Cosmetic Procedures the Celebrities are Getting

Cosmetic surgeries and procedures have been a topic conversation around celebrities since doctors started performing them. In every magazine aisle, you can see tabloids speculating whether or not a celebrity has had some kind of work done. We always want to know if someone actually has the perfect nose, or who had a Brazilian butt lift done.

While celebrities used to stay quiet about undergoing cosmetic procedures, some have recently opened up to talk about their decisions and experiences. Cosmetic procedures have gotten exceedingly common among women and men, and even outside of the celebrity world.

Botox

Botox is an extremely popular procedure among both celebrities and anyone hoping to look younger. While Botox can be the perfect way to get rid of issues like smile lines and crow’s feet, we regularly see celebrities who don’t have many facial expressions.

A noninvasive treatment, Botox is injected into the skin to block nerve signals in the muscles where it’s injected. The result of blocking the nerve signals is that the muscles become frozen, softening the appearance of wrinkles caused by muscle movement.

Rhinoplasty

Who wouldn’t want a nose like Carey Mulligan? Rhinoplasty, or a nose job, is one of the most common plastic surgeries in America. Plastic surgeons even argue that all actresses have all had at least “a tweak” done to their noses.

The surgery for a nose job itself depends on what type of changes a patient is getting done are. Nose jobs are a common choice for celebrities with bumps on the bridge of their nose, crooked noses, or if their nose just doesn’t fit with the rest of their features.

Liposuction

Celebrities looking to lose weight in specific areas tend to turn to liposuction. Liposuction allows someone to contour their body the way they’d like, rather than having to lose weight all over.

Liposuction is a surgical procedure where your doctor makes a small incision to insert a tube into your body. The tube is then hooked up to a vacuum to suck fat from the targeted area.

Breast Augmentation

Over the past few years, the number of women getting breast augmentations in America has been increasing. Breast augmentations have also been common in Hollywood for a while now.

Meant to enhance the size or correct the shape of a woman’s breasts, most breast augmentations are done with implants. The healing from surgery is typically around 2 weeks, but many women cite pain and difficulty with high impact activities long after.

Lip fillers

We all know that full lips are all the rage right now. It seems like overnight every celebrity all of a sudden had the perfect pout. Instead of over-lining their lips, many celebrities have admitted to getting lip fillers.

Lip injections are a fairly quick procedure that doesn’t require much time for recovery. Injections can even be done as only a temporary enhancement if you aren’t fully ready to commit. Lip fillers can be built up over time until you reach your perfect level of fullness.

Cheek enhancements

High cheekbones have been in for ages now, and it doesn’t seem like they’ll be going anywhere anytime soon. Cheekbone fillers have become a common option for celebrities who don’t naturally have full apples of their cheeks or have lost it due to age.

Getting plump cheeks doesn’t even have to require surgery. Many facial fillers like cheekbone enhancements are done through injections. Hyaluronic acid injections are popular to give your cheeks more fullness and helps smooth out any wrinkles in the area.

Jaw and chin Surgery

In comparison to everything else, maybe jaws aren’t our main focus when we see pictures of a celebrity. Even if you might not think much about it, weak jawlines or problems like underbites can make a big impact on the overall shape of your face.

Celebrities who have had even minor changes done to their jaw area know that it can greatly change the look of your face. Especially when pictured from the side, our chins are a big feature. Jaw surgery is a little more invasive than others, and usually require a few nights in a hospital to recover from your doctor reshaping jawbones.

Eyelid Surgery

Eyes are usually one of the first things we notice on a person, and you can find a wide range of different eye shapes. Celebrities wanting to widen their eyes or change the shape of their eyelids turn to blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery.

Eyelid surgery is a common choice for those who experienced eyelid sagging due to age and usually among celebrities with hooded eyes. Doctors performing eyelid surgery can remove any excess skin, fat, or loose muscle to enhance the look of eyes.

Facelift

Although facelifts can sound intimidating, they’ve remained popular among celebrities for years. A Facelift can be combined with a number of other procedures, like eyelid surgery or forehead lifts.

Facelifts can help eliminate the effects of aging on skin. By pulling at the skin, doctors can help smooth out any sagging or wrinkles. Because facelifts require more surgical work, recovery time can take up to twelve weeks.

Abdominoplasty

Many celebrities over the years have chosen to get abdominoplasty, or tummy tucks, done for flat stomachs. Common also after celebrities have given birth or other weight loss surgeries, tummy tucks can remove any excess skin on the stomach.

Cosmetic surgeons performing tummy tucks restore skin and muscles on the stomach to smooth out the skin. Not meant to be a substitute for weight loss, tummy tucks can help to give celebrities toned looking stomachs.
