29 Best John Lennon Quotes About Love, Life and Happiness

I love John Lennon. I love his music and I love everything he stood for. His story is, of course, a tragic one but beyond his story is the art he created. He died in the most senseless way but he left behind an amazing legacy and that legacy includes more than just music. His legacy includes speaking out about the things he believed in with honesty and candor. He was certainly a talented songwriter but he didn’t just speak to his fans through music. I think that, more than anything else, is what I respect so much about him. The word legend is thrown around a lot – far too often to really mean anything anymore – but John Lennon earned that label. He is a legend. My favorite John Lennon quotes are included below along with some of the most iconic photographs of him, but I want to make a few notes before we continue. First, I excluded song lyrics. Some of John’s most brilliant words were in his songs, of course, but if I were to include lyrics, we’d be here all day. Second, I don’t own or claim to own any of the photographs used in this post. I credited them to the site where I found them and left any watermarks intact. Okay, we have all that out of the way. Let’s get to my favorite John Lennon quotes.
